Camille Maghuyop | MS, LCSW

Camille Maghuyop is a bilingual (English-Tagalog) mental health provider who works with adults, young adults, and adolescents navigating life’s challenges. She is committed to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel welcomed, safe, secure, and truly seen. Whether someone is experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, or other stressors, Camille strives to foster an environment that supports healing, self-exploration, and personal growth.

Camille’s work is informed by her experience in community mental health settings throughout Chicago, including Erie House, Howard Brown, and Pilsen Wellness Center. She has worked with a diverse range of individuals and families, including young children ages 3–6, adolescents, and adults. These experiences have strengthened her understanding of family systems, relationships, and the social and systemic barriers that affect many communities. In particular, her work has deepened her awareness of the challenges faced by Black and Brown communities, as well as populations that are often overlooked, including individuals experiencing homelessness, Indigenous communities, and immigrants.

Her therapeutic approach is warm, empathetic, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Camille primarily works from a person-centered perspective, recognizing that each client is the expert of their own life. She also continues to expand her training in various therapeutic modalities to ensure her approach remains flexible and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals.

Outside of her clinical work, Camille is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Latina Sweat Project, a nonprofit dedicated to making yoga and wellness more accessible on Chicago’s South Side. She enjoys DJing, exploring creative forms of self-expression, and attending music festivals, with Electric Forest being one of her favorites.
